Position Summary

Heart 2 Soul Counseling is a small, growing group practice in York, PA, looking for an independently licensed therapist to join our clinical team. You'd be providing compassionate, practical therapy to teens and adults, with real flexibility in how you build your caseload and your week.

Responsibilities

Provide individual therapy to your caseload, in-person and/or via telehealth
Complete clinical documentation in a timely manner
Maintain active PA licensure and required continuing education
Collaborate with the clinical team on client care and referrals
Participate in occasional peer consultation
Complete other clinically related duties as reasonably needed

Minimum Qualifications

An active, independent license to practice in Pennsylvania as a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC), Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW), or Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT). At this time, we're only able to consider independently licensed clinicians and can't consider license-eligible, provisional, or supervision-track applicants (e.g., LSW, LAPC).

Work-Life Balance & Flexibility

We built Heart 2 Soul to be the kind of practice we'd want to work at ourselves. We're intentionally small, and we intend to stay that way in spirit even as we grow — no productivity dashboards, no rigid session quotas, and no pressure to sacrifice your own well-being for billable hours. Full-time clinicians on our team typically carry a caseload of around 25 client-facing hours per week. That's a reference point to help you picture the role, not a hard requirement — we're glad to talk about a caseload, larger or smaller, that fits your life.

Remote, Hybrid, or In-Person

Whether you'd rather see clients at our York office, via telehealth, or some mix of both, we can build a schedule around what works best for you and your clients. We don't have a preference for in-office versus remote work, and choosing one over the other will never count against you.

Compensation

Compensation for this role is generally structured around $45 per hour on average, though your actual rate can vary with experience, licensure, and caseload. We see that figure as a starting point for an honest conversation, not a fixed number, and we're glad to talk through what fair compensation looks like for you.

National Health Service Corps & Student Loan Repayment

Heart 2 Soul Counseling is an approved National Health Service Corps (NHSC) site. Clinicians who join our team may be eligible to apply for NHSC loan repayment or scholarship programs, subject to current federal program requirements and your own individual eligibility — this is an opportunity to apply, not a guarantee of an award.

One distinction worth being upfront about: while Heart 2 Soul offers real flexibility in scheduling and caseload, NHSC's program requirements are set by the federal government, not by us. Under current NHSC guidance, qualifying through a private-practice site like ours generally requires full-time clinical service, and half-time service options are typically not available at private-practice sites. In other words, the flexibility we offer as an employer doesn't change what NHSC itself requires if you want to pursue loan repayment through their program. We encourage anyone interested to review current requirements directly with HRSA/NHSC and confirm their own eligibility before applying.
